Until when is dinner served?
How do I connect to the internet?
Now where did I leave my book again?
We can’t answer everything — but most things.
Because we want you to have a wonderful time with us.
Wishing you a wonderful stay,
The Covi Family
and the Trinserhof Team
Welcome
Our house is many things at once: a place of retreat, an alpine refuge, a living family business. Here at 1,240 meters in the Gschnitz Valley, where the world slows down, we aim to create space for what truly matters: for time. For silence. For conversation. For good food. For the here and now. For you.
For many generations, we have run the Trinserhof with personal dedication – and continue to carefully shape its evolution. Our story begins in 1927, continues with the Covi family, and the visions of four generations live on, more palpable today than ever before.
Food & Drink
Our down-to-earth Tyrolean breakfast is served daily from 8 to 10 AM in the dining room – with fresh bread, pastries, jams, honey, juices, eggs, and other regional products. If you have special requests for your morning, just let us know.
In the afternoon, we invite you to enjoy homemade cakes and coffee – served in the lounges or on the terrace with glacier views of the Gschnitz Valley.
In the evening, we prepare a changing three-course menu, newly introduced each day – made with seasonal ingredients and tailored to your preferences.
Vegetarian? Gluten-free? Let us know!
Harry Covi is our head chef and delights us with tender veal shanks and flavorful Schlutzkrapfen.
Our wine list includes a handpicked selection primarily from Austria, South Tyrol, and occasionally from France. We’ll gladly recommend a pairing – suited to your meal, mood, and taste.
You can order the 3-course dinner menu in the morning directly from our chef, Harry. Dinner is served at 7 PM.
We recommend reserving a table for dinner at our restaurant.

What to do?
Directly from Trinserhof, numerous trails lead up or down the mountain: gentle walks along the Gschnitzbach stream, the trail to the waterfall, or mountain hikes to Blaserhütte, Tribulaunhütte, or St. Magdalena.
In summer, e-bike tours and visits to Lake Obernberg are great options.
In winter, explore the cross-country ski trails that run through the entire valley – well-groomed, sunny, and peaceful. The Bergeralm is just minutes away, a small but charming ski area with all amenities. Tobogganing, snowshoeing, or a quiet walk through the snowy forest – all of it starts right at our doorstep.
The free Wipptal Guest Pass for public transport is available at reception.
The nearest cable car is the Bergeralm.

Or Just Stay.
Despite all the attractions in the area – why not just enjoy the tranquility of Trinserhof for once (or again and again)?
Our rooms are unique: some simple, others traditional or expressive – but all have panoramic views.
What they all share is that they are retreats inviting you to unwind.
Our rooms don’t rely on standardized technology, but offer windows you can open, breathable fabrics, and natural light that reflects the day. Watching the world from here is a joy.
Your Comfort Matters.
If you have health concerns, allergies, are recovering from a cold, or require a special diet – just let us know. We’re happy to prepare light meals, teas, or small comforts. Hot water bottles and extra blankets are, of course, available.
Missing gear for an outing? Whether it’s a child carrier, hiking poles, thermos bottles, or a toboggan – we’ll help or lend what you need. For our youngest guests, we can provide cribs, high chairs, or early dinners upon request. Just let us know.
Feel good.
Our garden is a place for reflection year-round – with sun loungers, fragrant herbs, and the gentle rustle of leaves.
The outdoor pool is open daily in summer.
Our sauna is a quiet space for relaxation. A peaceful offer. Bathrobes and towels are available at reception.

Crafted Details.
Not only is our food freshly prepared – the house itself is thoughtfully designed. Some furniture pieces are centuries old, others were created specifically for the Trinserhof in collaboration with the Grete Kraft Studio. Their design language reflects our values: timeless and regional.
Some of these pieces accompany your stay; others are available to take home – as a continuation of the experience. Feel free to ask us.

Our public spaces – the library, farmhouse parlor, book lounge, fireplace room, private lounge, the light-filled dining room with mountain views, and our terrace – invite you to linger. Read, paint, relax, write postcards, or let your thoughts wander.
Culture & Connection
Trinserhof is not just a place to stay but also a space for exchange. We regularly host small concerts, readings, artistic workshops, or retreats for coaching, art, and perspective-building.
Some formats arise with guests, others with partners like Wipptal Herz or the Holding Heimat project.
If something is happening during your stay, you’ll find notices at the entrance or on your room door.
And if you have an idea to share – we’d love to hear it!

A house full of stories.
Trinserhof was founded in 1927 – by a man with foresight. Much has happened since: wars, guests from around the world, new beginnings.
Some guests have returned for decades, and many stories are preserved in letters, postcards, or books.
In our house chronicle, we tell the stories of the people, times, and moments that have shaped Trinserhof – including the "Time Travel" project, which brings our history to life through photos, texts, and found objects.
